Globys is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Seattle, WA. The post states, “We’re looking for a few key software developers to round out our team of scientists and engineers building an application for mobile providers to analyze daily streams of terabytes of data in real-time. Role is cross-cutting in focus, from a framework to digest, load and pivot data in bulk against multiple dimensions, to applications that deliver analytic insights, to integrations with live customers. Our philosophy is to build, test, fail-fast for rapid market insights, learn, then do it again. New developers will have immediate responsibility and ownership on a small and tight-knit team chomping through a greenfield opportunity.”

Qualifications include the following: “3+ years building successful, enterprise-scale, business solutions on Linux/Unix. Expertise developing in Java and other JVM-targeted languages like Scala and Clojure. Expertise developing with SQL data stores. Self-starting mentality that thrives in early-stage, collaborative environments. Design and development of Distributed Computation solutions on Big Data with Hadoop or grid frameworks. Design and development of Distributed Storage solutions with NoSQL frameworks such as Hbase, Mongo or Cassandra. Experience with Data Mining, Machine Learning, and/or Computational Mathematics and Statistics”
