Lionbridge is looking for a Senior Software Engineer of TypePad Backend in Boise, ID. Responsibilities of the position include the following: “Take overall responsibility for coding algorithms, framework design, and backend feature development of the TypePad application. Implement new blogging and application features. Troubleshooting/resolving TypePad bugs that are surfaced by users and escalated by the Support team for resolution. This could be account-specific issues or application issues. Periodic support of the Director of Ops to address operational needs.”
Qualifications for the position include: “5+ years developing interactive high-volume web-based systems. Experience in a platform or service-oriented environment with many dependencies and high uptime requirements At home in a world of distributed systems at scale: file and document storage, caching, locking, job processing, search, load balancing, etc. Familiarity with Perl, MySQL, NoSQL, Memcached, Git, Perlbal, Gearman, and open source infrastructure components. Comfortable understanding database performance issues, including MySQL caching and partitioning.”
