NoSQL Job of the Day: Senior Software Engineer, Media Cloud Services

Orange (also known as France Telecom Research & Development) is looking for a Senior Software Engineer of Media Cloud Services in San Francisco, CA. According to the post, “In this role, you will take the lead responsibility for a media cloud service that has been in development for about a year. You will closely work with the product manager and drive development of the service through the entire lifecycle: architecture/design, implementation, testing and post-release support. You will also work closely with a team of highly skilled consultants and be able to direct them as needed.”

Qualifications for the position include the following: “5+ years of experience in a consumer internet or digital media company. 5+ years of relevant system engineering experience. Track record of building fast, highly-available, scalable systems. 3+ years experience on Ruby-on-Rails platform is a must. 3+ years experience with Java, C/C++,python or Scala is desirable. Previous experience in HTML/CSS/JS is desirable. Previous experience with both relational databases and NoSQL technologies. Experience with cloud computing platforms (Amazon AWS, Heroku, Google App Engine). Direct experience developing REST APIs for other developers. Previous experience developing and designing high volume consumer-facing Internet services, ideally from concept -design- production to operation is a big plus.”
