ScalArc is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer in Menlo Park, CA. According to the post, “ScalArc is looking to build-out its sales team immediately. As part of the build-out, ScalArc is searching for a Senior Systems Engineer (“SE”) to cover the customer activity in the Western Region US, handling all pre-sales SE activities directly with customers while assisting the ScalArc support organization with post-sales support when needed. This position is to be based in Silicon Valley out of the headquarters in Menlo Park, CA and will report directly to the President/COO.”
Qualifications for the position include: “Strong understanding of the SQL protocol, as well as MySQL, MS SQL and Oracle database technologies. Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment both as an individual contributor and a technical lead for being the sales liaison with Product Marketing, Product Management, Engineering and other groups within ScalArc. Someone who keeps tab on the industry trends around databases to include how/why customers leverage those databases and the current trends around NoSQL and NewSQL technologies. Solid interpersonal and presentation skills, with ability to crisply articulate complex technology. Ability to professionally deliver a powerpoint and/or whiteboard discussion along with a product demo a must. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems down to TCP Packet Level. Self-motivated and flexible. 5-10 years experience as a pre-sales Systems Engineering role supporting database deployments at major accounts.”
