NoSQL Job of the Day: Sr. Director, Emerging Technology

The National Football League is looking for a Senior Director of Emerging Products & Technology in Culver City, CA. According to the post, “The position will be comprised primarily of: 1) evaluation of new technologies 2) deployment of new technologies across the media businesses; 3) development of new products and business.” Responsibilities include: “Manage high-level strategic analysis of emerging technology and products trends and how those relate to core businesses. Leads the development of strategies and business models relative to the acquisition of technology products and services. Presentation of detailed strategic partnership proposals and summaries for various internal and external stakeholders, including executive approval.”

Qualifications include: “10 years architecting, building, and managing a broad range of highly scalable web applications. 5-10 years experience with the Java, PHP, Perl, and the C++ programming language. Experience with socket based programming and development of REST, XML, JSON, and API based applications required. 5 years experience architecting and building real time data syndication platforms using both push and pull technologies. 5 years experience with Oracle, MySQL and NoSQL database solutions as well as data mining and security. Knowledge of communications transports and protocols including telecommunications, WiFi(802.11) and IP, RF, RFID, GPS (NMEA,MTK and/or SiRF) required. 2-5 years architecting, delivering, and maintaining applications in a cloud-computing environment.”
