Rhapsody is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Seattle, WA. According to the post, “This position will focus on development of Java-based middle tier and back-end services for the commerce platform. Platform Services team is the group within Rhapsody International responsible for the creation, delivery and support of back-end systems such as user profile services, ecommerce services and business intelligence. Platform Services system enables key business functions including user authentication/authorization, profile, order management, billing and payment processing, and business intelligence. The team consists of technical architects, system engineers and developers, test engineers, business and technical analysts, program/project managers, headquartered in Seattle, Washington.”
Qualifications include the following: “4+ years of experience in object oriented design, development and implementation using Java technologies. 3+ years server based software development experience in a multi-tier environment using Java/J2EE. 3+ years of experience working with open source technologies such as Tomcat, Servlet, Spring Framework, Spring Web Services, Hibernate, SOAP, REST, JAXB, Maven. 3+ years hand-on knowledge of relational databases and experience working with Oracle is a plus. Understanding or experience with NoSQL database solutions (Hadoop, Cassandra, etc.) Knowledge of any user data management, e-commerce system, and Content Management System is highly desirable. Ideal candidate will also have project management training.”
