Bing is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Bellevue, WA. According to the post, “Read/Write World (see http://www.readwriteworld.net) is a groundbreaking project at Bing that seeks to connect all of the world’s geospatial media in an open and extensible way. Microsoft is building the foundation for disruptive next generation experiences that incorporate user created content, web and location (and other) graphs in a set of simple, real-time and read/write services. We need seasoned web application and services developers to help push the envelope of what’s possible with web technologies, from server to browser, to meet these demands. These technologies are real-time, read/write, and still designed to be incredibly simple to build on.”
Qualifications for the position include: “3+ years of strong software development and proven engineering expertise. Experience with real-time web services. C++/C#. Passionate about mobile. Experience integrating SQL and NoSQL databases (such as SQL Azure, MongoDB, CouchDB, etc…). Solid background in server side development, including and/or equivalent experience with Node.js and other emerging technologies.”
