IBM is looking for a Big Data Developer to travel up to 100% of the time. According to the post, "The Big Data Developer will work with the Big Data Development Lead on the build out and execution of the given technical or scientific use case using IBM’s big data platform and appropriate programming techniques. This role is a resource with demonstrated technical design and development expertise with experience in the Big Data space. This person should have hands on development experience in some of the technologies including - Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Jaql, Lucene, Avro, Zookeeper, R and UIMA technologies. This person has demonstrated skills in Java, C++, Python, Unix script development, modeling NoSql data stores and has a demonstrated understanding of working with MapR or map reduced type programming."
Qualifications for the position include: "Java Programming, Parallel processing and file systems. Experience with Linux RedHat a plus. Experience in Java, Ping, Hbase, Hive, Jaql, Python programming. Knowledge of BigInsights Administration- IE workflow a plus. System Integration knowledge essential. Agile Development knowledge useful. Knowledge in Information Server, Master Data Management (MDM) , InfoSphere Streams, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) desirable. Basic knowledge in Java Programming, Parallel processing and file systems. Basic knowledge in Java, Ping, Hbase, Hive, Jaql, Python. Basic knowledge in Analyzing text, streams, documents, social media, big data, speech. At least 6 months experience in Hadoop-based big data, NoSQL, Natural Language Processing, Search and Text analytics. Readiness to travel 100% travel annually."
