According to the post, “We are looking for a talented software engineer who loves data—learning from it, building things with it, and cultivating it. Crowdfunding is an emerging, disruptive industry and the data generated by our users funding campaigns is massive, interesting, and its utilization will help impact the way people raise money all over the globe. Are you passionate about designing and implementing data services and algorithms? At Indiegogo, we process a new contribution every 0.3 seconds and manage terabytes of data in our rapidly evolving data warehouse—and that’s just the beginning! We have immense belief in being data-driven in our daily decision making process and our analytics platform holds the key to unlocking the best user experience and long term growth potential.”

Qualifications for the position include: “3+ years of experience engineering with large data sets. Strong CS fundamentals and problem solving skills. Production experience with Ruby, Python, Java, or your favorite modern language. Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches. A background in Machine Learning or Natural Language Processing. Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner. M.S. or Ph.D. in statistics, applied math, computer science, or other relevant technical field. Familiarity with relational databases, SQL and “NoSQL” technologies, R, ElasticSearch. Experience developing and implementing machine learning algorithms.”
