According to the post, "This position supports the Next Generation Air Transportation System at the Joint Planning and Development Office (JPDO). The Alion team is supporting the JPDO in developing the underlying semantic technologies that will allow free-flowing and context-sensitive information among Federal Agencies and the users of the National Air Space. Interagency information sharing requires innovative technology solutions to enable service interoperability and service federation across agency boundaries."
Qualifications for the position include the following: "In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 15 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data. More than 5 years of experiences with Java programming language. More than 2 years of experiences using Java EE frameworks, for example Spring Framework. More than 2 years of experience with implementing Service Oriented Architectures and web services. Knowledge of standards and practices such as SOAP, WSDL, REST-based web services and Enterprise Service Buses. Knowledge and experiences in Semantic Web technologies such as RDF, OWL and SPARQL. Knowledge and experiences in AJAX frameworks such as JQuery and DOJO."
