Concurrent Technologies is looking for a Knowledge Engineer in Johnstown, PA. This position is “Responsible for the development of knowledge models, ontologies, heuristics, and scenario data for use in semantic software solutions. These solutions require a significant understanding and formalization of subject matter domains to create the knowledge models that power these systems. The person chosen for this position will work with subject matter experts and perform online research to create detailed ontologies and knowledge models based on these domains. The individual may be required to analyze data for patterns to develop models and heuristics that describe the data.”

Qualifications include: “Degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring the systematic analysis of data, such as linguistics or the sciences. (Computer science background desirable). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including conveying ontological structures to software engineers and non-technical subject matter experts. Also requires detailed documentation skills and technical writing skills to document these models. A Top Secret clearance is required and TS/SCI security clearance is preferred. Experience with semantic web technologies such as RDF, OWL, and SPARQL, and development tools such as Protégé and Top Braid Composer. Experience with natural language processing, entity extraction, and machine learning technologies. Experience with software development languages and methodologies such as Java, Python, Perl, etc.”
