Harvard Medical School is searching for a Director of Informatics Program Management in Boston, MA. According to the post, "Reporting to the Director of Informatics Technology, the Director of Informatics Program Management will be responsible for a portfolio of Informatics projects, with a budget greater than $5m. The projects are establishing unprecedented capabilities for biomedical researchers to conduct research across Harvard and at a national scale. The Director of Informatics Program Management will oversee the planning, development, deployment, operational support, open source release and national/international open source community building for this portfolio of projects. This includes the oversight of the development of web applications, service oriented architectures, formal ontologies, data processing pipelines and data repositories as well as content management systems, data management/curation tools and search systems."
The post continues, "The successful candidate must have experience in a variety of informatics development areas including: applications, networks and data management systems. This person must have experience developing: web applications, service oriented architectures, formal ontologies, data processing pipelines and data repositories (relational, XML and RDF). Must also have experience with content management systems, data management/curation tools and search systems. This person must have experience in agile development methods, development risk management, and a variety of project management tools and creation of reporting tools/documents for non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have worked in a research setting as well as the private sector."
