Healthline is looking for a Informatics Senior Java Software Engineer in San Francisco, CA. According to the post, this position will "Design and implement algorithms for integrating medical standard dictionaries into Healthline ontology. Develop data mining processes to create our Semantic Network. Work on an authoring tool that allows Medical Informatics Specialists to successfully and easily edit our ontology. Contribute to architecture, tools, and standards and practices for the engineering organization. Perform additional duties as assigned."


Qualifications for the position include: "5 years of software developing experience, recent grad ok. Proven expertise in the following technologies: Java; J2EE, including servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), and JSTL; Web application frameworks such as Struts; Relational databases, preferably Oracle, SQL and JDBC; XML and Java XML APIs, RDF, JSON; Lucene, SOLR; NLP is a plus. Object-oriented software design. Solid knowledge and understanding of ontologies, taxonomies, semantic network,  OWL standards and ontology editors, a plus. Experience with data mining processes, a plus. Experience in search algorithms a plus. Health care industry experience a plus."
