Icix is looking for a Data Architect in San Francisco, CA. According to the post, “The platform team at Icix is looking for a seasoned Architect with strong skills at developing and managing big data. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing the data platform for the icix system which will manage all of the graph data, structured and unstructured data and documents stored and accessible by the icix network. This system must be able to query and manage complex graph data and millions of documents with exceptional performance and ultra high reliability. The Data Architect will also be responsible for working in conjunction with Data Visualization Engineers to build solutions which allow for the search, retrieval, reporting and analytics of the data stored in the data platform.”

Qualifications for the position include: “5+ years as an application developer/tech lead/architect. Expert in data management, data warehousing, and ETL. Experience with big data and high volume data processing and technologies. Deep knowledge of databases and database technologies e.g. SQL, Oracle, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL. BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Experience with ORM and data caching techniques. Experience with Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig. Familiar with statistical analysis techniques and machine learning. Familiar with data visualization, reporting and charting technologies such as d3.js, Datameer, Tableau, Qlikview, Omniscope, Graphite, Crystal, etc. Familiar with graph data sets and databases such as Neo4J, FlockDB, Riak, OrientDB, Jena, etc. and technologies e.g. SPARQL, RDF, TinkerPop, Gremlin, etc.”
