The Jet Propulsion Laboratory is looking for a Software Systems Engineer in Pasadena, CA. JPL is looking for someone who will “be a member of the System Architectures & Behaviors Group (313K) and will report to the Technical Group Supervisor. Will be responsible for leading the development of modeling tool frameworks, extensions and customizations deployed at JPL, and for the on-going evolution of the continuous integration processes involved in packaging, testing and deploying these frameworks for the JPL modeling community. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Working closely with the JPL modeling infrastructure development leadership to assume responsibility for developing, maintaining and extending modeling frameworks.”

Qualifications for the position include: “Significant experience in the lifecycle design, development and maintenance of graphical modeling technology for commercial and open-source modeling tools, including tools for standard languages such as the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and the Systems Modeling Language (SysML). Significant experience with commercial and open-source processes for the development, continuous integration, testing and deployment of modeling technology, including the application of the Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Ontology standards (e.g., OWL2) for representing models. Wide-ranging experience and advanced knowledge in one or more of the following areas: instruction and mentoring of advanced practitioners developing extensions of modeling frameworks and using such frameworks for developing modeling capabilities and solutions.”
