The post states, “McGraw-Hill Education has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Architect (content) with our MHE Digital Platforms Group located in Boston, MA. The Principal Content Architect lead the design and implementation of the overall system wide digital platform. This employee will serve as the primary technical member of the digital platform leadership team.” Accountabilities of the position include: “Architectural Leadership. Shape Platform Vision. Technical Leadership: see architecture made real. Help Resolve Tech Issues. Collect Business Input and Evangelize Vision to Business Teams. Contribute to Project Planning and Direction. Includes budget and resource estimation.”

Qualifications for the position include: “15+ years of experience in web/digital content authoring, indexing and distribution and workflow. 8+ years technical experience in Educational Publishing or digital publishing in other media companies. Proven experience designing and implementing global Internet scale distributed solutions. Proven experience developing system visions, eliciting requirements and building support among business stakeholders, and leading deployment efforts. Deep knowledge of XML, epub, ebook readers, transformation, NoSQL/TripleStore, RDF and other digital publishing and encoding formats. Deep understanding of Content distribution networks, rich media/flash and HTML5. Knowledge of taxonomies management systems (governed, regulated and crowd-sourced).”
