SRA International is looking for a Computer Scientist in Bethesda, MD. The post states, "SRA International is seeking to hire a Computer Scientist Implementing Semantics / Ontologies to work in Bethesda, Maryland. This is a contingent full-time position for upcoming work with an anticipated award date of July 1st. The successful candidate for this job will develop semantic software and ontologies to develop meaningful scientific and administrative reports for NIH’s National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. The successful applicant will work with a small team (5) of SAP developers, subject matter experts and testers to introduce semantic indexing into the data warehouse based on coding of data using controlled vocabularies, thesauri and ontologies. The developer will use common semantic web technologies to support semantic indexing and semantic relationships using ontologies such as MeSH, SNOMED-CT, UMLS, VIVO and Eagle-i."
Qualifications for the position include: "Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. 3+ years of experience in commercial, government or academic position performing semantic analysis of ontologies using tools such as RDF, SPARQL, and Protégé OWL. Test driven development experience. Experience working in an agile software development environment. Must be able to work on site in Bethesda, Maryland (telecommuting is not allowed). Candidates must be US citizens or have a TN-1 or H1B Visa and must be able to obtain a Position of Trust (not required to start)."
