SGI Acquires FileTek, Expands Role in Big Data Marketplace

According to a new article out of the company, “SGI, the trusted leader in high performance computing and Big Data, today announced it has acquired the assets of FileTek, Inc., a global provider of Big Data storage virtualization, large-scale data management, and Active Archive. This valuable acquisition expands SGI’s leadership, delivering storage solutions that enable customers to manage data assets efficiently, reduce administrative overhead, and lower the cost of high-volume storage.”
