A new release out of the company reports, “Snowflake Computing, the cloud data warehousing company, today announced that it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Big Data Competency in Advanced Analytics. This achievement builds on the work that Snowflake has done to provide all types of companies with trusted, cloud-based solutions to store and analyze important data on AWS. The AWS Competency program highlights AWS Partner Network (APN) members that have passed a rigorous audit of their security, architecture and customer adoption, and have exhibited proven success supporting customers evaluating and using big data tools, techniques, and technologies on AWS.”

The release goes on, “Snowflake’s Elastic Data Warehouse is built on AWS, from the ground up, to meet the data and analytic needs of today’s companies. Snowflake’s unique architecture makes it possible to automate infrastructure, management and optimization so organizations can focus on using their data instead of managing technology. Snowflake’s native support for diverse data, both structured and semi-structured, gives analysts direct access to deep business intelligence without sacrificing flexibility or performance. The company delivers all of this at a dramatically lower cost than traditional on-premises data warehouse solutions, providing a compelling reason to take advantage of the cloud for big data analytics. Snowflake’s continued product innovation, market adoption and growing ecosystem of partners have fueled the company’s ongoing success and rapid growth.”
