Snowflake and MicroStrategy Partner to Deliver Data Analytics in the Cloud

A recent article out of the companies reports, “Snowflake Computing, the cloud data warehousing company, and MicroStrategy Incorporated, a leading worldwide provider of enterprise software platforms, today announced an alliance to bring the flexibility and scalability of the cloud to modern data analytics. This collaboration will build on Snowflake’s certified connectivity with MicroStrategy 10™ through further product integration and go-to-market collaboration, enabling businesses to take advantage of the cloud to get fast answers to their toughest data questions.”

The article continues, “Leading organizations will leverage MicroStrategy 10 and Snowflake’s Elastic Data Warehouse to deliver data-driven business applications that are targeted at providing scalability, flexibility, security, governance and high performance. MicroStrategy and Snowflake are architected to unify data, supporting the vision of a single version of the truth across the organization. Joint customers will not only be able to dynamically react to changes, but can also benefit from easy access to mission-critical data and can make insightful decisions with enterprise-grade data discovery.”

It goes on, “MicroStrategy users leveraging Snowflake can benefit from interactive performance as a result of the native, optimized connector for Snowflake, leveraging the processing power of the Snowflake data warehouse to the fullest extent by intelligently pushing data joins and complex calculations to the database when possible. In this way, joint customers can gain the speed and flexibility of data discovery without sacrificing the scalability, security, and trust of a governed enterprise analytics environment.”
