A new press release states, “Splunk Inc., first in delivering ‘aha’ moments from machine data, today announced new product integrations with Amazon Web Services (AWS) that span IT, Security, Big Data and IoT use cases. Integrations with Amazon Kinesis Firehose, the first partner integration of its kind, and Amazon GuardDuty deliver Splunk’s commitment to continuous innovation for customers. Customers are already leveraging the Amazon Kinesis Firehose integration to stream AWS data into Splunk® solutions to manage and enhance their IT and security environments.”

The release goes on, “Splunk and AWS engineering teams developed a direct integration between Splunk and Amazon Kinesis Firehose to enhance customer experience and insight. The fully managed service allows AWS customers to select Splunk Enterprise as a destination for large scale, streaming data directly from the Amazon Kinesis Firehose console. The integration enhances the scalability and reliability of streaming AWS data into Splunk software; further it streamlines ingestion by pushing data into Splunk in near real time, rather than requiring customers to pull data manually through API calls. The solution is designed to help customers save time, money and energy previously spent on data collection and instead focus on monitoring and troubleshooting their infrastructure, improving their security posture and creating a differentiated experience for their end users based on real, actionable data.”
