According to a new article, “Symantec has introduced ‘Symantec Data Insight 3.0,’ a solution that improves information governance by providing intelligence into ownership and usage of unstructured data such as documents, presentations, spreadsheets and emails. The solution helps organizations transform storage operations, and simplify information governance processes to reduce costs, risks, and achieve compliance.”
The article continues, “It consistently monitors data usage, and enables rule-based inferences for data ownership, with which the IT organizations can establish a framework for collaboration with the business, to address data governance objectives. With optimizations in collection, indexing and query algorithms, it delivers actionable analytics, with enhanced performance across large data sets. It helps storage, security and compliance professionals, to better manage and protect unstructured data, via a new data custodian management feature.”
