Syncsort has announced that the company has partnered with Hortonworks to make Hadoop easier to use and thereby help maximize the value of Big Data. The article states that Syncsort’s “DMExpress® data integration software supports and is certified for Hortonworks Data Platform. The company also announced that it has officially joined the Hortonworks Technology Partner Program. The Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP), powered by Apache Hadoop, is a massively scalable open source platform for storing, processing and analyzing large volumes of data. The certification of Syncsort® DMExpress on HDP makes Apache Hadoop easier to use and brings enterprise-class data integration technology to Hortonworks’ distribution. DMExpress is used by leading organizations worldwide to speed Big Data time-to-insight and reduce the total cost of ownership of Big Data warehousing and analytics environments.”
