Versant Corporation has launched the Versant Developer Community for NoSQL database programming. According to the release, “The community is an online portal for developers to learn how to apply Versant’s NoSQL database technologies in innovative ways by sharing common experiences through live forums and exploring complex object and big data solutions through videos, webcasts, samples and documentation.”
The company proclaims, “Versant’s developer community will offer unprecedented information and community engagement for those who share Versant’s passion for object technology excellence and best of breed NoSQL. Registered developers will reap the benefits of the live forum as their technical questions are answered in real-time by active community members who have identified solutions to similar problems. The format of the community reflects, in part, Versant’s Open Source database db4o philosophy of community driven contribution.”
The article adds, “Among the many interactive features of the new community is the Versant Most Valued Professional (MVP) program. Versant MVPs are recognized individuals with exceptional expertise in Versant products and who actively participate in the community to share their knowledge and expertise with other users. Among other benefits, Versant MVPs will have exclusive access to select product previews and resources as well as discounts on Versant training sessions and events.”
