By on

A new press release reports, “Continuing to widen its market lead for enterprise-grade data lake management, Zaloni today announced the release of Zaloni Data Platform (ZDP) 5.0, which provides exciting new features to address growing real-world demands of data-rich enterprises, including data management in a hybrid or multi-cloud environment, operationalization for data management at scale, and simplification and automation of data ingestion, governance, and self-service analytics for increased user productivity.”

The release goes on, “As hybrid cloud and multi-cloud deployments become more common, Zaloni remains committed to providing cutting-edge data management capabilities to support these increasingly complex environments. ZDP 5.0 has expanded its native capabilities to support AWS EMR (S3 buckets function as a managed data lake zone, support for accessing and transforming data in S3 using workflow actions in a secured manner), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and integration between these environments.”

It adds, “Delivering industry-leading data operations is already core to ZDP. In this release, Zaloni expands this capability by integrating the concept of a zone-based architecture across the entire platform to provide more control and consistency around data governance. Zones allow administrators to automate where data resides, for how long, and what data governance, lifecycle and data quality policies are required for data to enter and exit each zone.”
