Mohan Varthakavi, Vice President of Software Development, AI and Edge at Couchbase
Mohan Varthakavi is the vice president of software development, AI and edge at Couchbase, the developer data platform for critical applications in our AI world. Previously, Varthakavi was senior director of product engineering at Cruise. Prior to that, he held head of engineering roles at Amazon Web Services, where he played a key role in creating Amazon QuickSight and Amazon MemoryDB and expanding Amazon ElastiCache into a large-scale business. He was also a founding member of the Amazon Prime local initiative. Before AWS, Varthakavi spent over 12 years as an engineer at Microsoft, where he launched major systems, including the Bing search engine, Mapping and Geospatial systems, Bing Mobile Experiences and Natural Language interfaces.
