GE Aviation is looking for a Senior Data Architect in Schenectady, NY; Atlanta, GA; Houston, TX; or Cincinnati, OH. According to the description, “The Senior Data Architect demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for data architecture and modeling, building specifications, data application integration and metadata.”
Responsibilities of the position include, “Serve as technical expert responsible for the design & implementation of data base technology. Set & administer standards for overall organization’s relational database structure / architecture (currently, ORACLE, SQL,Teradata etc.). Research database technology, determine business requirements, propose changes, and develop migration and implementation plans, may execute projects based on these activities. Ensure that plans for database technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure. Advise management on technology purchases & on future projects or environment upgrades / modifications.”
