Data Management Maturity (DMM)SM Introduction Course

WHAT: This three day course introduces the themes, categories, and process areas of the Data Management Maturity (DMM)SM model, and provides insights on the benefits of using the DMM, obstacles encountered in implementing data management, and lessons learned from data management programs.

WHO: DMM benefits data management professionals, business data management sponsors, and anyone who wants to learn more about data management and synthesize a holistic perspective and approach to this broad and complex  subject.

WHEN: October 20th-22nd, 2014, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily

YOU WILL LEARN:  Data management concepts, understanding of real-world DMM application and scenarios, benefits to an organization of sound, standard data management processes; success factors for implementation.

Data Management Maturity (DMM)SM Advanced Concepts Course

WHAT:  This course expands and deepens understanding of the DMM through a focus on real-world implementation of processes that are compliant with the model with accompanying scenarios and case studies illustrating practical implementation.  The objective is for participants to achieve a thorough understanding of the DMM and a firm grounding in best practices for implementing process improvements.

WHO: Business data SMEs, data management professionals, individuals who will be involved in implementing DMM practices and improvements, and individuals who want to participate in DMM Assessments and Appraisals

WHEN: January 5-9, 2015, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. daily

YOU WILL LEARN:  detailed understanding of the successive improvement path for each Process Area; understand how the Process Areas work together in the overall data management program; understanding practical organization change management in the real world; be ready to lead process improvement projects.

Enterprise Data Management Expert (EDME)SM Course

WHAT: This course focuses on preparing an individual to lead a data management improvement program for an organization.  It begins by preparing the attendee to lead a DMM Assessment for internal or external clients, which will provide significant benefits to an organization:  Shared vision, a common language, a step-by-step path to improvements, shared understanding of progress, and role clarification. Attention is devoted to leadership considerations, such as managing process improvement efforts, developing compelling business cases, and sustaining engagement over time.

WHO: Business data SMEs, data management professionals, data management consultants

WHEN: March 16-20, 2015, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily

YOU WILL LEARN: The DMM Assessment method; mastery, confidence, and knowledge to guide an organization through a DMM Assessment, plan and design data management strategies programs, and lead organization-wide process improvement programs.  Qualifies the participant for the EDME certification exam.
