Igneous Accelerates Unstructured Data Protection with Industry-First NAS Integrations

By on

According to a new press release, “Igneous, the leader in unstructured data management, today announced several new integration ‘firsts’ with primary tier network-attached storage (NAS) systems. Igneous now offers enhanced direct integration with Qumulo File Fabric (QF2), multi-protocol support for Dell EMC Isilon OneFS, and Pure FlashBlade object support.  All enhancements use Igneous’ robust API capabilities simplifying the setup, management and maintenance of unstructured data protection for today’s digital enterprises. The integrations extend Igneous’ data protection as-a-Service solutions to cover more data types and protocols.”

The release continues, “In addition to already available API-based integrations with Pure Storage FlashBlade NAS,  Igneous announced the industry’s only data protection solution capable of supporting Pure FlashBlade object storage. ‘Many new machine learning and artificial intelligence (ML/AI) workflows rely on object storage, and Pure provides a high-performance, low-latency option for them,’ said Kiran Bhageshpur, CEO, Igneous. ‘Igneous now enables customers to complete their object-based ML/AI pipelines with high-density, high-performance data protection and automated data movement’.”

It adds, “Igneous also announced API integration with QF2 by Qumulo – another industry first. Today, many Qumulo customers utilize replication for data protection, lacking the ability to integrate with other protection methods. The Igneous API-based integration with QF2 fills that gap by enabling seamless local copy and fast restore of all data on Qumulo systems across the enterprise. ‘We continue to rely on our partnership with Igneous to protect our customers’ data at scale,’ said Aaron Cardenas, CEO, P1 Technologies.”
