Donna Burbank

Donna is an established industry expert with more than 20 years of experience in information management, metadata management and enterprise architecture. Donna has unique insight in the field of information management, as she has led successful implementation projects worldwide, and has then used this experience to drive the design and production of several of the leading metadata and data modeling tools on the market today, while at the same time being involved with industry standards organisations to set best practices for architectural design. Donna is a recognized speaker at industry conferences worldwide, and has co-authored two books: ‘Data Modeling for the Business – A Handbook for Aligning the Business with IT using High-Level Data Models’ and ‘Data Modeling Made Simple with CA ERwin Data Modeler r8′. She is published regularly in industry journals and venues such as Information Management magazine and DATAVERSITY, and has a regular column on TDAN.com. Susan Earley

Susan has spent the last 25 years working in data management in various ways, starting with application development, data warehouse development and management, data modeling, and into data architecture. She was the Assistant Editor for the DAMA-DMBOK released in 2009, and the editor for the 2011 edition of the DAMA Dictionary of Data Management. She is currently editing the DAMA-DMBOK2. George McGeachie

Independent Information Architect, Metadata Matters Limited

George is an independent information management practitioner, with 20+ years of experience creating and managing models of various types in many organisations. He encourages organisations to connect and utilise their metadata islands, to recognise the wealth of information contained in their data models, to recognise that the creation of data models must form part of an integrated approach to improving their business, and therefore avoid the creation of metadata islands in the first place. He is co-author, with Steve Hoberman, of “Data Modeling Made Simple Using PowerDesigner”, and author of several articles published at TDAN.com.

Missy is an Enterprise Data Strategist at American Family Insurance with 20 years of data management experience.  She is a huge proponent of getting the business involved early and often for projects.  Missy encourages collaboration with all disciples of the organization to ensure completeness and understanding.  She is currently the President of DAMA Wisconsin and the Vice President of Chapter Services for DAMA International.  She is very passionate about data modeling and the lifecycle of data in general.

Karen Lopez

Sr. Project Manager and Architect, InfoAdvisors

Karen Lopez is Sr. Project Manager and Architect at InfoAdvisors. She has 20+ years of experience in project and data management on large, multi-project programs. Karen specializes in the practical application of data management principles. She is a frequent speaker, blogger and panelist on data quality, data governance, logical and physical modeling, data compliance, development methodologies and social issues in computing.  Karen is an active user on social media and has been named one of the top 3 technology influencers by IBM Canada and one of the top 17 women in information management by Information Management Magazine.  She is a Microsoft SQL Server MVP, specializing in data modeling and database design.  She’s an advisor to the DAMA, International Board and a member of the Advisory Board of Zachman, International.

She’s known for her slightly irreverent yet constructive opinions and rants on information technology topics.  She wants you to love your data. Karen is also moderator of the InfoAdvisors Discussion Groups at www.infoadvisors.com and dm-discuss.
