Even other engineers must learn it in order to make the data usable. In most enterprises today, we have as many different ways to ask questions of our data as we have systems to store it. We have as many different vocabularies and data structures as we have systems. The problem is actually worse than it sounds….”

Chris Moran is the CTO for IMSC and has more than 20 years in the IT industry. He is an innovator and pioneer for semantic technology and controlled natural language. His innovations include a semantic rule engine called rules4J, and a controlled natural language for building ontologies called Common.
He has designed and built semantic solutions for clients in the DoD and Intel communities. Most recently, he has been responsible for developing and teaching courses in semantic technology for the office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer(DCMO) for DoD.
