According to a new release, “A recent report from Navigant Research examines the market for integrated data center energy management, focusing on software and services and building equipment and systems, with global market forecasts through 2025. The integrated data center energy management market is expected to emerge first within campus environments and large facilities with significant data center resources onsite. Customers responsible for these larger facility environments are expected to be the first movers in leveraging software and services and investing in building retrofits as a part of an integrated energy management strategy.

The release continues, “‘The promise of the intelligent building is centered on fully integrated energy management enabled by software, services, and advanced automation and control technologies,’ says Casey Talon, principal research analyst with Navigant Research. ‘More specifically, the evolution of a traditional facility into this intelligent building framework relies on collaboration across customer teams.’ The vast majority of revenue associated with energy management for integrated data centers is expected to stem from customer investment in software and services, according to the report. This offering type is expected to account for approximately 90 percent of the market through the ten-year forecast period.”
