Scale Computing Simplifies IT, Improves Efficiency and Fortifies Rapid Disaster Recovery

By on

A new press release states, “Scale Computing, a market leader in edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions, today announced the latest successes in the growing list of healthcare organizations it has helped simplify and modernize IT infrastructure. The Scale Computing HC3 platform provides the flexibility, ease of use, and scalability that organizations like Riverwood Healthcare Center, Carepro Health, and Paris Community Hospital need to create robust and efficient working environments. Riverwood Healthcare Center has been providing care to residents of Aitkin County in Northern Minnesota for more than 60 years. Riverwood officials turned to Scale Computing to help virtualize their operations and fortify their disaster recovery efforts with a single vendor. The Scale Computing HC3 solution simplified the center efforts by working across its entire infrastructure and reducing the time Riverwood IT staff spends managing its infrastructure by nearly 25 percent with a much smaller footprint.”

The release goes on, “Carepro Health provides home medical equipment, wellness, pharmacy, and home care services to residents in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City area. Instead of spending resources to maintain its IT infrastructure, Carepro Health wanted to focus its efforts on delivering superior patient care. They needed a way to improve the availability of their critical workloads, reduce operating costs and the number of vendors needed to keep their operations running. Scale Computing HC3 improved Carepro Health’s capabilities over 24 virtual machines with support from a single vendor for a system that is easier to use and is scalable and highly available. ‘With Scale Computing, we decreased our hardware failure recovery times on critical workloads from 24 hours to less than 10 minutes,’ said Mitchell Vaughan, IT manager, Carepro Health. ‘That means dramatically reducing the time our IT staff spends managing infrastructure by 10- to 24-percent after deploying HC3’.”
