According to a press release last week, “Sumo Logic, the leading cloud-native, machine data analytics service, today announced it has joined the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, providing real-time business operational and security insights into infrastructures and modern applications running on Microsoft Azure. In addition, Sumo Logic has released two new certified offerings for Azure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), as well as the ability to ingest log and host metrics data from any Sumo Logic supported OS collector. According to analyst firm IDC, by 2020, about half of all new business software purchases will be of service-enabled software, with cloud software making up more than a quarter of all software sold. The significant increase in adoption of Microsoft Azure has positioned it as one of the leading cloud providers, offering organizations the ability to easily extend their investment in Microsoft technology to take advantage of the economics and speed of the public cloud.”

Nir Mashkowski, director of program management at Microsoft, commented, “Moving to the cloud does not mean organizations have to sacrifice visibility or control over their infrastructure and applications… The addition of Sumo Logic’s award-winning cloud-native machine data analytics service to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace enables our customers with full-stack visibility to simplify and automate operations as they migrate from traditional on-premise data centers to the cloud, and do so with clarity and confidence. Our close partnership with Sumo Logic further illustrates Microsoft’s commitment to building an open and inclusive cloud platform with Azure.”
