A recent press release out of the company reports, “Talena, the always-on big data pioneer, has secured two additional certified integrations, HPE Vertica and Hortonworks. HPE Vertica and Hortonworks customers can now use the award-winning Talena big data management platform for critical data protection and availability capabilities spanning backup, recovery, and test/dev management, knowing that it has been fully validated. In addition, Talena is a new member of the HPE Big Data Platform Technology Alliance Program, and companies can register for a trial version of Talena for Vertica via the HPE Big Data Marketplace.”

The release goes on, “The industry’s first and broadest data availability management platform, offering certified integrations with HPE Vertica, Hortonworks, Cloudera and DataStax, Talena ensures that IT and engineering teams benefit from a fully integrated infrastructure built expressly to address today’s complex, big data requirements. With Talena, companies significantly reduce operating costs, witness fewer application defects and greatly reduce the monetary and reputation risk of application downtime.”

Talena Vice President of Product Management Jay Desai commented, “Companies need solutions designed to support today’s modern data environments or they put their applications at great risk — and they also need greater business agility and support for on-premise and cloud-based environments… These are no longer nice-to-haves, but baseline requirements for success. Vertica and Hortonworks customers will realize significant value with Talena, and we’re looking forward to supporting them.”
