Eero Teerikorpi 

Eero Teerikorpi, CEO, Founder and Board Chairman of Continuent 

Eero Teerikorpi is the founder, CEO, and chairman of the board of Continuent , a leading provider of solutions for business-critical applications using MySQL databases, including cluster management, data replication, and connectivity. Eero’s career, spanning more than 30 years, includes founding seven technology companies and playing a significant role in the development and growth of MySQL, the second largest open-source relational database management system in the world, since day one, from the early 2000s.  

Before Continuent , Eero held senior management positions at various transatlantic organizations. He was the CEO of Alcom Corporation, a trailblazer in networked fax server software, based in Mountain View, Calif. Alcom was acquired in 1998 by Esker S.A., a French company specializing in business management software. Eero also served as president of Capslock, a Finnish firm focused on mobile wireless solutions, and as an executive board member at Esker S.A. His career began in Finland as a regional product manager at Apple in the mid-1980s. 

Continuent  started in Finland but moved its headquarters to the U.S. in 2004. Eero sold Continuent  to VMware in 2014 and subsequently acquired it back in 2016. Eero is also a founder and managing partner of Blue White Venture, an investment firm dedicated to introducing Scandinavian companies to the U.S. market.  

A former Finnish Navy officer, Eero enjoys sailing in San Francisco Bay and worldwide. He is an enthusiastic sportsman, engaging in tennis, golf, mountain biking and both slalom and cross-country skiing. Additionally, he owns and operates a boutique winery, NOET Vineyards, producing double-gold winning, dry-farmed Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Eero resides in northern California in Moraga.
