The Data Governance & Information Quality Conference (DGIQ) East was joined by the first-ever AI Governance Conference (AIGov) on December 9–13, 2024, bringing together data and AI leaders for a week of education and networking in Washington, D.C. Set against the historic backdrop of the Omni Shoreham Hotel–a living landmark steeped in presidential and pop culture history–this conference program explored the intersection of data and AI governance, and also featured a special half-day Women in Data Management and Governance (WDMG) event.

This conference has a lot of great sessions packed into just a few days. The Gen AI sessions in particular were very interesting and helpful. Anyone who is expected to play an active role with the implementation of Data Governance or provide instruction to fellow employees on Data Governance should attend this conference.
