The terms BI Governance and Data Governance for the Data Warehouse are used quite often in the Business Intelligence industries. They do not mean the same thing. BI Governance is the governance of all activities within a BI environment while the Governance of BI Data focuses on applying Data Governance principles to the Business Intelligence environment. Both are necessary.
