I’m so excited to announce two very big milestones for DATAVERSITY this year. First, Enterprise Data World, our longest-running conference is in its 20th year! Every year it gets bigger and better. Every year we add more education hours available, and this year we have three more events running along it including: Enterprise NoSQL, Financial Industry Business Ontology Forum, and CDO Vision. And every year the attendees themselves add exceptional networking and a unique resource of information and problem solving.
The other big anniversary we are celebrating is our website and our digital content turns five years old today! We published our first piece of content to DATAVERSITY.net on April 1, 2011 and officially launched the website at Enterprise Data World 2011 to give our long-time conference goers education year-round. My goodness how we have grown since then! When we first launched, we had one news writer, a handful of bloggers, and a few months later added one article writer. Today we have a full support staff, eight writers and editors, and 45 Industry Experts (10+ year’s minimum experience in Data Management) who have contributed blogs over the last year.
What’s the most exciting about all of this is the growing community. I can never say, “Thank You!” enough to those engaged in the content we produce. Readers, Webinar Attendees, and Conference Attendees alike, thank you so much for being so engaged not only with our content and education, but with each other. I just love it every time I see two attendees at a conference or on a webinar engage to discover one or the other can help with an issue. We really do have one of the most engaged communities for which we are so, so grateful.
And the only reason we have grown, is because our community has grown and demanded more. Today, not only do we offer News, Blogs, and Articles to read on the website, but we produce 1-3 Webinars a week. We have a plethora of White Papers to download. We launched our first virtual conference this year, looking to produce a second, and are about to make another big announcement at this year’s Enterprise Data World for yet another level of education.
