About the Speaker
Dan Myers (MBA, IQCP) is the principal educator of Data Quality Matters (DQMatters.com), an eLearning company focused on providing information and data quality learning material. As an Information Quality practitioner, educator and thought-leader, Dan conducted a robust comparison of key IQ author’s lists of dimensions of data quality and proposed a way to align the data management community by using common definitions. In 2016, he proposed a standard for set of dimensions based on his research, called the Conformed Dimensions of Data Quality and published it on the Web (http://DimensionsOfDataQuality.com). For the last three years Dan has tracked interest in a standard and provided in-depth whitepapers on the topic. Previously Dan worked as an applications developer, data modeler, and manager of data governance/data quality. Dan’s fluency in Japanese enabled him to work in both the public and private sector in Japan.
